About Mindful Health

Mindful Health Counseling was created so I could have the space to give my clients the best version of me as a therapist. Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked in community mental health, school systems, healthcare organizations, and private practice. I went on to obtain my master’s degree, my independent license, and received my supervisor credential.

Throughout all those years as a clinician, I consistently watched people struggle with chronic worry, overthinking, and self judgement. Like many of us who struggle with anxiety, we think that just getting rid of it will fix us, or that we will feel better if it just went away. The thing is, the idea of totally getting rid of it seemed so intimidating that it felt impossible.

This is when I came to the realization that maybe we don’t have to get rid of it entirely. Maybe I can just figure out how to use the helpful parts about it (trust me we can use anxiety to our advantage) and make the difficult parts easier to handle, and not let it take control of everything.

That is how Mindful Health was born; with YOU in mind. To support others in realizing that we don’t have to pick between anxiety and the daunting idea that in order to function, feel secure in ourselves, and love who we are, anxiety has to be completely gone. YOU CAN HAVE BOTH. Let me help you harness your anxiety so you can become a thriving, self-forgiving, and confident person. Better days are ahead.

In order to change something about ourselves, we have to understand the reason we’re doing it in the first place.
